Employee of the Season
Project Manager Lelde Plese has received the award of PAB Employee of the Season as recognition for all her devoted efforts and continuous dedication to the company – and not least for the part she played in delivering our “You and Your Child” programme in Boston, a project that has resulted in us being awarded two additional contracts by Lincolnshire County Council – see below.
Successful “You and Your Child” programme extended
After a successful year working to engage with parents and children from minority groups in Boston, PAB Translation Centre has been commissioned by Lincolnshire County Council to extend our “You and Your Child” programme to other parts of the county.
PAB’s initial contract, awarded in April 2014, was to support the Council and Sure Start Centres to provide responsive public services to the residents of Boston and as far afield as Swineshead and Old Leake.
The programme has successfully enabled families across those areas to understand the support available to them and to recognise their responsibilities as parents. As a result, Lincolnshire County Council has asked us to roll out the existing programme to South Holland and to Lincoln.
Spring Seminar
In May we held our Spring Seminar.
Our Managing Director, Iwona Lebiedowicz, delivered an engaging and thought-provoking presentation about the amazing work done by the PAB team and by the challenge of constantly striving to deliver the first-class professionalism needed in order to stay at the top of our industry.
Individual presentations were also given by Verena and Paula, our German and Portuguese in-house translators. They dealt with some cultural aspects of their respective home countries to keep everyone up-to-date with the do’s and don’ts when visiting, or doing business in, Germany or Portugal.
East Midlands Director of the Year Nomination
Our Managing Director has been shortlisted as one of the finalists for the East Midlands Director of the Year Awards organised by the Institute of Directors.
Iwona deserves our unreserved congratulations! The awards celebrate the hard work and initiative of top business figures in all regions of the UK. The awards ceremony in June is one of the highest points in the region’s business event calendar.

We are delighted to welcome Erika Singhbackto our Boston office after her recent maternity leave.
PAB to Deliver Russian Language & Culture Seminar for UKTI
In competition with other language service providers, we very recently successfully tendered to provide the above seminar during 2015-16.
We regularly tailor language and cultural awareness induction programmes and training to fit the needs of UK businesses that employ foreign nationals and/or are building business relations with foreign customers.
